A cutting edge technique for administering anesthesia is being utilized at Tampa General Hospital.   Surgical teams are using a combination of sedatives and epidurals to replace traditional medications used for certain surgeries.  The results are a shorter and milder recovery at a considerably reduced  compared to usual anesthesia practices.
